Playing Catch Up

As I sit here pushing crap away from me on the desk so I have room to type I am thinking about how much I would really rather go lay down on the couch while Max is taking his nap and the other two are playing outside. If I do that though I will definitely not feel like getting up and cooking dinner in a little bit. So before I start dinner I decided to play catch up on my blog.

Max turned a year old on August 25th! I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. I know I say it with each of my babies but it feels like just yesterday that we were going to the hospital to have him. I still can't believe I had to be induced for the little guy to come out. He was just happy snuggled up in there, I guess.
The Saturday before his birthday we went to a new park called F.J. "Red" Kane Park that is here in Arlington. It was nice that I bought Max his first pair of walking shoes the day before so he got to really test those out.

Shortly after we got there and we saw the ducks and geese Terry left to go to a store and get some bread so we could feed the birds. So we just walked around checking the place out and looking at the ducks while he was gone. Then we he got back the kids we all had fun feeding everything. I do mean everything too. Not only were we feeding the ducks and geese...

but we were feeding the turtles and the fish too.
After all the bread was gone we went over to the playground.
Daddy and the kids had some fun there!
It was really hot so we only stayed for about an hour but we all had fun and when it cools off some I bet we will be going back.

That evening Matt, Kerri and Elizabeth came over to celebrate with us by grilling out and swimming at the pool. They didn't get here until about 8PM and so shortly after they got here Max had to go to bed. So they didn't really get to celebrate with him but we all still had a nice visit and they were even so kind to bring a little cake for Max (although it wasn't Max that got to eat it ).

Max's actual birthday fell on a Tuesday. During the day when it was just Lindsey, Max and me we played on Mommy and Daddy's bed and took silly pictures and sang Happy Birthday to Maxi all day long!

and my favorite picture of all is from when Max was biting Lindsey's hair.

That evening for dinner we had "dog-dogs"; Max's favorite right now since we let him eat them by him self.

After dinner we all sang Happy Birthday to Max and gave him his own cake. He didn't really know what to think about it and it took him a minute to understand that it was for him to eat.

He even had to give sissy some to make sure it was okay to eat!

Lindsey's friend Caitlyn was also over to celebrate with us.
But when he was done he was DONE!

By the time he got finished eating his cake and we got him all cleaned up it was bedtime so we put off giving him the presents until the next day. We got him some Shake N Go cars and he likes them but he really wasn't into opening the wrapping paper. So he had some help.

We also have news on the progress of our house. We went out there the weekend of 8/30 and they had the plumbing laid out.

Then we went back on 9/10 and they had the slab poured.

We found out today 9/17 that Terry's credit score is stuck at the same number it was at a month ago. We have to have it at a 620 to be able to go through with buying the house. Needless to say I'm really worried at this point. The girl I spoke to at HMS that is in charge of our credit right now told me that there is one main bad credit on Terry's report that is standing in our way. She said they are going to be more aggressive about trying to get it taken off and it usually works so once that hopefully comes off it should make his score go up. Still....I'm really worried.

So that's about it right now....I think. If I remember anything else I'll come back and ad it. Right now I have a screaming little girl, laundry and dinner to make.
