Sunday family fun day! Other wise known today to my kids as Sunday family drive around in the car for 2 1/2 hours doing nothing day!
Even though I got out of the house yesterday all ALONE I still wanted to take the kids to go do something fun today. So I thought it would be nice to take a picnic and go to the lake. Well, we left about 12:50 and I really wanted to go to Eagle Mountain Lake. Terry even pulled up some directions to get us there because neither one of us had ever been to it. Well.....Terry forgot the directions. No problem, we thought. We found the lake but just a Marina, boat dock and restaurant area not a swimming/picnic spot. So we kept driving.......and driving.....and driving.....then we finally came to another Marina but it was just like the first, no swimming or picnicking. So that adventure lasted until sometime after 3pm and we didn't find anywhere to stop and swim or picnic. We were going to go to another lake that was closer to our apartment but Terry kept letting it be known that he really doesn't like swimming in lakes. So I was feeling bad about him going just to make us happy and then thought maybe we could go to the city water park. Well I didn't want to spend the money to go if it were going to be closing in just a few hours. Seemed like a waste of money if we didn't go for the entire day. So I decided after kinda talking the kids into it that we should just go back home and we would go to the pool. So that's what we did. Not the fun family outing I planned but it did get us all out of the house.
