It's November December already?!

Why is it that when you're a kid a week feels like FOR-EV-ER! Now that I'm an adult and especially since I have three kids time passes right on by and I'm still stuck in last the month before last month. (sigh)

I really wanted to keep up with this blog. I read others and I get so inspired to keep up with mine and then life happens and I forget or I am just too tired to even attempt to write something because I know I will get sidetracked and not get to finish. I started writing this particular posting on 11/12 but am just now getting around to finishing it and publishing it today 12/11. That's how long it takes me to get stuff done!

So what's happened since October 4th when I last posted? Well, lots! Let me fill you in.

On 10/10/09 we went and picked up my Grandparents and took them to see the house we were building in Saginaw. I was so happy to get to involve them in such a big thing in our lives. Here are some pictures.

Two weeks after we took my Grandparents out to see the house we were building in Saginaw we received a text from my Mom and Step-dad that was a picture of a house. I called them back thinking it was a picture of the house they were thinking of buying since they are also trying to buy a house now too. When I called I asked if it was something they were looking at and my Step-dad says it's not theirs but it could be ours. I was like "uh....no we are already building a house". So I get on the phone with my Mom and she says she got some information when looking for a place to build their house and they wold like to come over and talk to us. They came over that night and told us that the house in the picture they texted us is still being built and the people that were building it broke their contract and the house is available and USDA approved. At that point we were having such a difficult time with the HMS mortgage agent that they just wanted to let us know this was available as possibly a back up plan if the house in Saginaw that we were building fell though and we were unable to get the loan in time. So we thought about it and went out to see the house the very next day. We were there ALL day but it was so worth it because.....we decided to break our contract with Cheldan and leave the Saginaw house behind and not use the HMS lenders! It was really scary. REALLY SCARY! But it was definitely the right thing to do. By contract with HMS we had to use their realtor but after talking to Melissa the sales woman with Antares homes (the builder of the new house) we found out that we didn't have to use them as our lender. That was a HUGE relief. So at that point we were officially trying to get THIS new house in Crowley!

It has the white stone on the front of the house like I really wanted!

It is very close to the neighborhood playground.

It is also in a cul-de-sac!!!

The neighborhood has what they call the Green Belt which is a walking path that goes throughout the neighborhood. The house is located just along a part of it so just to one side of the house where the walking path is we will not have any neighbors. Also behind the house there is a big beautiful tree and the city (I think) will not allow the tree to be cut down so we won't have any neighbors behind us either!

That same day we were out there deciding to pursue this house my Mom and Step-dad were also putting a SOLD sign in the ground just across the street. If everything goes through for them they will be living practically next door.

The following weekend was Halloween. Antonio was Freddy Krueger, Lindsey was Hannah Montana, and Maxi was Batman.

For trick or treating we drove out to Aledo to go to the McDavid Estates like we do every year. We went over to Matt and Kerri's house first. Elizabeth was Dorthy this year. Then we went over to Penny's house to meet up with Justin, Crystal and their girls. Destiny was a black fairy or something and Lovey was Snow White.

November came around before we knew it!

On 11/8/09 Terry and I left the kids with Melissa and Caitlyn and went and bought our newest family member Delilah. She is a full blooded Cane Corso Mastiff. Delilah was born on August 12, 09. Thank God we were moving in three weeks from getting her because she did have accidents and by the time we were ready to move she was pretty well house trained. This is our horse puppy.

As it was nearing our move out date at the apartment we had to withdraw Antonio from his school before we even closed on the house because of the Thanksgiving Holidays. So his last day was 11/19. I withdrew him a few days early because I was fed up with the lousy teachers he was having to deal with. So lucky him, he had a few extra days off for his Thanksgiving break.

We closed on OUR NEW HOUSE on 11/24/09 and Terry had us all moved in that night with the help of his brother Charlie and his friend Vern. I took the kids and animals over to the house while they loaded up the moving truck. I left way too early though because we were sitting in our brand new empty house for a few hours before they finally showed up.

It only took one day before I had the whole kitchen put together. By the end of the week I had almost everything put away. Everything I could put away that is. We still have the same things that were in boxes for the past 4 years at the apartment packed but once we can get some bookcases, shelves, and other storage then I'll be able to get some of those things out.

Two days after we moved in was Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving morning we went out with my Aunt, Uncle, cousins and their families for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Then from there we went over to Terry's brother's house for lunch. After lunch with Terry's side of the family we went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house for dinner. We had a great time over there.

We went out with my cousins the following Saturday night after Thanksgiving. My Aunt watched all three of our kids. It was so kind of her to keep them for us. We had a BLAST hanging out with everyone! I have no idea now why we hadn't gotten together with them sooner. I really can't wait to go out with them again!

It's December now....

Not much has been going on this month so far. I've tried to start Christmas shopping but have only picked up two things. We are supposed to try and go this weekend and get it all done. Hopefully we can.

Well that's it for now. Until next time.
