I don't know what it was but I have been so tired today. It's 10pm Max is asleep, Antonio is watching X-Men and Speed Racer and Lindsey is standing next to me drawing pictures.
Well I'll start with yesterday. We took Max to see Dr. Fewins the ENT Doc. I swear it was the quickest doctor visit we've ever had. He confirmed that Max's ears are full to the brim with mucus. He said tubes in both ears would be the way to go and I agreed so from there we went down stairs to have Max's hearing checked. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the guy to show up. When he got there we we went in this small room with what I would call a hearing box in it. I think it was a sound proof box. So Max and I sat in it and the guy shut the door, turned on a microphone and from each side of the box he would say Max's name from different pitches to see how loud he would have to be to get his attention. Then he came in the box and pressure tested Max's ears with sound waves. He confirmed what everyone else said that his ears are full of fluid/ mucus whatever that stuff is and he can't hear that well. So we have the procedure scheduled for Wednesday August 12th. We weren't given an exact time and won't get one until the day before but they said it would definitely be early morning about 6:30am or 7:30am. It will take less than 10 minutes after Max falls asleep. Hopefully the nurse is right because she told me that I will be able to hold Max until he is asleep then they will take him and put him on the table. Then it shouldn't take but an hour or so for him to wake up afterwards. I really feel like this procedure is best for him and it will make a huge difference but of course I worry.

Yesterday Lindsey and I also went to the Social Security office so I could change my SS card to my new last name. We sat there for about an hour and a half. Antonio and Max stayed home. I'm so proud of Antonio for babysitting Max for the second time. He is such a good brother. So now I have both my TXDL and my SS changed to Carpenter! It actually feels pretty special to share the same last name with Terry and two of my children. I wish I could share this with Antonio too but I really believe a child should have their fathers last name even if that father isn't around. I wish we could add Carpenter onto Antonio's last name but I think to do that Terry would have to legally adopt him and I don't see that happening. Now all I have left to do is to change my name on my credit cards and go to the bank and order new checks with me on them too.

Today................today I was so tired. Lindsey has been asking to go swimming since Wednesday so after Max's first nap we went to the pool. I didn't want Max to get his ears wet and I really didn't want to even be there so I just sat on the side and put my legs in while letting Max splash a little. He mostly wanted to walk around outside so I followed him. We didn't stay out there very long but long enough that when we came in it was Max's nap time again. Lindsey took a nap today too and while they were napping Antonio played with Carlos (a little boy that goes to the same school as Antonio that lives here at the back of the apartment complex). Shortly after Max woke up I needed to cook dinner. I was thinking of ordering pizza which still sounds really yummy but I really didn't want to spend the money on eating out yet again. So, I decided to make our chicken and rice dinner but realized we didn't have enough sour cream so I thought "there goes that idea" but I read a post to someone else on FB saying to look on Allrecipes.com to find easy dinner ideas and on there you can type in the ingredients you want to use in your dinner and it can give you suggestions or things you can make. So I checked it typing in my ingredients of chicken breast, sour cream, and rice. It gave me a Delicious Chicken Casserole that is very similar to our chicken and rice dinner. So I went to make it accidentally adding to much salt and way more sour cream than it called for. I also kept out the rice and made and served it separately like we do with out dinner and it turned out great! I'm really feeling so proud of myself. The kids even really liked it. Terry said I really messed up though because now I'll have to make it all the time :)

Today we got our lease renewal papers on our door. It feels so good to not have to even think about signing another lease here at the craptactular apartments. I hate it here so much. I feel so blessed to be getting this house.

Still praying for baby Stellan. He is doing much better but he still needs our prayers.
